and Objective
The DMAIC– Define-Measure-Analysis-Improvement-Control methodology under Six Sigma umbrella shows organizations in clear, accurate and mathematical terms how good or bad their quality-level are, how much they can improve and what progress is being achieved on that journey. The DMAIC methodology is being used extensively to bring perfection in existing operations in all areas of business.
DMAIC has become a powerful methodology with an aim to design, operate and control each of the critical administrative, manufacturing and business processes in the organisation to give not more than 3.4 defects out of every one-million opportunities – a near perfection. It involves repeated applications of process management, process re-design and statistical tools.
This programme is designed to create conceptual understanding and practical skill in implementing adopting DMAIC in the organization to improve processes to do things Better, Faster and at a Lower cost.

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to

  • Explain the genesis, philosophy, methods and benefits of  DMAIC methodology;
  • State and explain the DMAIC terms - Define-Measure-Analysis-Improvement-Control
  • Apply the DMAIC methodology for performance improvement – to make /offer things
             Better, Faster and Cheaper:
             Define problems  and improvement opportunities in quantifiable and objective manner
             Convert a physical problem to statistical problem and after finding the statistical solution, convert it to physical solution
  • Facilitate in in-company improvement efforts.
