PMI NTPC has collaborated with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and PMI is the Authorized Training Provider to impart training on ASME courses. A 3 day training programme on “ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1: Design and Fabrication of Pressure Vessels” was conducted at PMI, 3-5 May 2010. Total 22 Engineers from India and Nigeria who are involved in design, manufacturing, inspection and O&M of pressure vessels participated in the programme. The programme was delivered by ASME Authorized Instructors and was appreciated by the participants. Mr. R K Rustagi, ED (PMI & HRD) NTPC and Mr. Madhukar Sharma, ASME Country Manager addressed the participants at the close of the programme. In view of the great usefulness of the course for the practicing engineers and industries, it is planned to organize another training programme on this ASME course shortly.
