Knowledge is the key factor for competitiveness of the organizations enabling them to successfully address the challenges and complexities in the business. Constant learning and pursuit of knowledge is all the more critical for NTPC which operates in a sector undergoing major changes on commercial and technological fronts.

Our company has a highly ambitious growth plan. It is essential that training interventions are well integrated with the current requirements and future plants of the Company. There is also a need to enhance the application of learning at the workplace. I am glad that PMI team has been adequately looking into this aspect while designing training programmes to provide updated and relevant inputs to the participants and the present calendar includes new programmes on very relevant subjects such as Fuel Security, Environment & Carbon Management, Social Networking for Managerial Effectiveness, Subordinate Development, Financial Modeling & Optimization etc. I am sure the training inputs on these and other subjects in the programme calendar would significantly contribute to the company’s efforts to successfully meet the emerging challenges.

PMI has played a vital role in NTPC’s growth and development. It must continue to do so. I am confident that the participants attending various programmes at PMI would get useful learning and translate it at the workplace into value-added contribution.
